Figurative

The figure is the center of the work. Michael Tine carves the human form in marble and stone, by hand, and for personal pieces without a fixed preparatory model: the form is found by cutting, looking, and cutting again. He is open about looking hard at the draftsmen he admires and taking what is useful from them.

The pieces below are figurative work. Each links to its own page with material, dimensions, year, and status. Sculpture is for sale and commissions are accepted; pricing is provided on inquiry.
